North out Lemmon/Marsh Lane, across LBJ/635, to Brookhaven Club Drive. Turn left (light), then right at the tennis courts (stop sign, Golfing Green Drive) , & drive until you come to the parking lot on your right.

 

6:00 p.m., Cocktail Hour   cash bar

7:00  Dinner buffet   $15, prepaid                           

           

Make your own hotel/motel arrangements.  A few bazillion in this city.

            visit with friends

            day free to visit Dallas points of interest

            El Fenix, downtown, still the same  (Alfred Martinez grad. ND in 1940)

Ride the DART train .  It goes downtown, to the zoo, to Plano, to Garland, & it is cheap for seniors

There’s a Dickey’s Barbeque downtown at West End, & also at Knox/Henderson.

            Kirby’s steakhouse, 3525 Greenville Ave. at McCommas

            Texas Queen Riverboat, Lake Ray Hubbard  972-771-0039, dinner, entertainment

            Go to Winfrey Point with others & some KFC & have a picnic

Dallas Autumn Blooms @ Arboretum (DeGolyer estate, White Rock)

Ride the streetcar on McKinney.  Oh the good ol days.

Visit the new ND construction site, Cole, Haskell, Blackburn

            Take a turn (walk?) around White Rock Lake to view the changes in 60 odd years.

 

Rosemary Rumbley will have her new book, Strolling Through the Park, about the Dallas Park System available.

SATURDAY , OCTOBER 1 

Walking tour of Arts District downtown, free.  10:30 a.m., about an hour.

We want you to go to the GNDAA luncheon, but…..other options for the afternoon & evening are listed under Friday.  Visit with friends.

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 2

            Brunch @ Brookhaven Country Club

            Bus tour of Dallas conducted by Rosemary Brau Rumbley, leaving from Brookhaven Country Club at 11 a.m.  This is not full, & will be canceled if we do not have 40 folks.

$10 made out to Rosemary, mail to address on newsletter ASAP. She must reserve the bus.

 Send your $15 (the treasury is paying the difference, our treat) to North Dallas 50 Reunion @ 10308 Crestover Dr, Dallas 75229 by Sept 10, please.  We must give them an exact number.  We will “over” that by only 7-10 persons, so it is better for you to pay & not make it.  We do not want to take money at the door, but we will, rather than have you not come.
